Issue 8

Hi Folks,

Welcome to April. As We continue to navigate these stressful times; I hope that ya'll are continuing to find authentic community and joy. We, at the Lab, are still finding our way through and understanding what it means to sustain ourselves at this moment in our collective history. As, I'm sure, many of you are, we are weighing what revolution and resistance looks like in action; and grappling with what changes we need to make in our personal and collective activism.

Trying to imagine new ways of operating is never an easy task, especially when we've all been socialized with the ideas of civility and tolerance as a part of our 'highest selves' when engaging in conflict. Civility and tolerance may not be the answers right now, but navigating to what the answer is, is difficult and cannot be done alone. We will continue to struggle and evolve with you, as our community, in the Lab. We hope that you continue to trust us to create spaces of care and containers of collective learner for all of us, as we move along our journey of justice and liberation for all.

The Resistance Regroup

The Regroup is a virtual space to gather in community to build our resistance. We bring in experts to share mutual aid needs, learn about best practices to support  various identities, and share ways and encourage folks to get plugged in and active.

Our Resistance Regroup space in our Circle Community is a fantastic resource for post-meeting notes and continued discussion. If you couldn’t attend one night or want to re-engage with the material we covered, we post detailed meeting notes afterwards in the Circle group.

Join us every Tuesday at 7 pm EST as we share our experiences, accountability, and care with and for each other. There's zero expectation of continued or consistent participation; join us as much as  you want and can.

We are so excited to be a part of GoodWork Seacoast’s GoodWork Gathering workshop series! We'll be facilitating on tokenism vs intentional inclusion.

This annual series provides nonprofit professionals with the opportunity to foster connections, acquire knowledge, and ignite action.

The Liberation Nexus Lab has so many great projects in the works this year - let us know if you are interested in a workshop, cohort program, or our consulting services. We’re a lot of fun 🤩

Calm Like A Bomb

Today I’m feeling angry. And it’s a day where I’m leaning into my righteous anger and allowing it to spur me to critical thought and action.
