Strategic Planning

Where they started

LP&CT was looking to update its strategic plan for another 5 years, utilizing the framework that was already in place. Jane Calvin, LP&CT's Executive Director, reached out to Erin Allgood after getting connected through the Liberation Nexus Lab's work with the Merrimack Conservation Partnership.

What we did together

Erin met individually with Jane and interviewed and

facilitated several meetings with the board and staff to gain insight into the current state of the organization,

understand strengths and opportunities, and iterate on drafted goals and priorities.

What they walked away with

LP&CT walked away with a comprehensive and ambitious strategic plan that reflects the four quadrants of the organization's theory of change as well as an implementation workplan laying out tactics correlated to the goals and priorities listed in the strategic plan.

Favorite Part of this Project

It was an absolute honor to work alongside such an amazing organization that has been protecting green spaces and special places in Lowell for 35 years. I loved getting to dive in deep with Jane and the rest of the board and staff. It's a special organization and I can't wait to see how it grows over the next 35 years!

I’m grateful to Erin for taking the time to understand our unique work as an urban conservation organization and help us create an updated strategic plan that will not just sit on a shelf. We are actively using the plan to fundraise, develop programs, and ensure the sustainability of our organization. Her ability to relate to all the different staff and board personalities, while also managing a winding process was much appreciated. Erin genuinely cares about the future of our organization.
